A tender bond

The story of Gera in Korat is a bitter sweet tale of an english rose , who was captured and brought on a ship that sailed to the barbary coast. Here she can escape only to recaptured. This time her slaver is an older man, a native scot who is bitter and cynical until he captures Gera. She reminds him of the girl in his home country, whom he had loved and who died. A tender bond grows between Captor and victim. Tinged with sentiment and a touch of Stockholm syndrome.
